Rectangular hollow sections (RHS) are cold-formed and ERW-welded to EN 10219 in structural grade S235JR. The longer side gives higher bending stiffness in that plane, so RHS is the efficient choice for beams, lintels, and frames where load is predominantly in one direction.
Used in steel structures, trailers, machine chassis, canopies, and general fabrication. Finish options match square box: mill, red-oxide shop primer, or hot-dip galvanized. Where the section must take similar load about both axes, square box is usually simpler; where you need more depth in one direction without extra weight, RHS wins. High-strength ST52 rectangular box and cold-rolled CR tube cover the same geometry in different grades and tolerances.
Supplied in 6 m stock lengths and quoted per length. Send size (A × B × wall), quantity, finish, and delivery country in a quote request — EN 10204 3.1 certificates and cutting are available on request.
