Applications & Selection Guide
High-strength hollow sections are cold-formed and electric-resistance welded from thermomechanically rolled EN 10149-2 strip in S420MC, S500MC, S600MC and S700MC. The higher yield (420 to 700 MPa) carries the same load with a thinner wall, so they are specified for trailers and truck bodies, cranes and lifting equipment, agricultural and construction machinery, and weight-sensitive structures.
Outside diameters run from Ø17.2 mm to Ø323.9 mm with walls from 1.5 mm to 12 mm, to EN 10219 dimensions. Not every wall is rolled in every grade: each size page lists the grades available for it, and thicker walls stop at lower grades.
Grade and size availability is confirmed by the mill for each order. Standard length is 6 m; special lengths from 4 m to 12 m on request. The minimum order is 10 t per size; if the size is already in production, we can accept orders from 5 t.
