50x50x2.5mm S355JR Uncoated Steel Omega Profile
The 50x50x2.5mm steel Omega (hat) profile is cold roll-formed to EN 10162 with a 50 mm height, 50 mm crown and 2.5 mm sheet thickness, weighing a nominal 3.75 kg/m. Produced to order in uncoated S355JR steel, its outward feet provide a flat fixing face on both sides — the standard rail for solar panel mounting, facade furring and sheet-metal substructures. This variant is uncoated cold-rolled structural strip in grade S355JR (EN 10025), minimum yield about 355 MPa. Choose it when the same section has to carry more load than S235JR. The surface is bare — specify paint or hot-dip galvanizing in the quote for outdoor use.

Applications & Usage
Omega 50x50x2.5 mounts solar panels on trapezoidal and sandwich roofs, levels facade cladding as a furring profile, stiffens large sheet-metal panels, and builds conveyor and machine substructures. Both feet sit flat on the support, spreading load evenly and allowing fast one-sided fixing. S355JR is the higher-strength uncoated grade for load-bearing purlins, columns and frames where S235JR would need a heavier section. At a nominal 3.75 kg/m and cut-to-length production from 1 to 15 m, material usage is optimized with no offcuts on site.
