Hot-rolled HEA wide-flange beam (European H-section) in structural grade S235JR to EN 10025, dimensions to EN 10365. Lighter flange/web proportions than HEB for efficient columns and beams. Designations HEA 100–HEA 1000. Standard stock length 12 m. Used in steel frames, halls, mezzanines, and general structural fabrication.
24 sizes available
HEA beams are European wide-flange H-sections to EN 10365 (formerly DIN 1025-3), hot-rolled in structural grade S235JR. The 'A' series is the lightest of the HE family: flange width equals the nominal designation while the section height is slightly lower, giving a favourable strength-to-weight ratio for columns and moderately loaded beams.
Typical applications include building columns, mezzanine structures, portal frames, crane runways with light duty cycles, and machine support frames. Choose HEA when weight and cost matter more than maximum stiffness; step up to HEB when higher section modulus or buckling resistance is required at the same nominal size. Section properties (h, b, tw, tf, kg/m) for every size are listed in the table above.
Beams are supplied in 12 m standard mill lengths and quoted per length. Send a quote request with the designation (e.g. HEA 160), quantity, delivery country, and any mill certificate (EN 10204 3.1) requirement — we respond with pricing, lead time, and freight options within one business day.
