Sigma profiles are cold roll-formed sections to EN 10162 whose web is folded inward at mid-height, forming the characteristic Σ shape. The indented web moves the shear centre close to the section centroid and stiffens the web against buckling — so a Sigma carries noticeably higher loads than a C profile of the same size and weight, with less twisting under load. We roll Sigma and Sigma-plus geometries to order from pre-galvanized S350GD+Z strip (EN 10346) or uncoated S235JR–S355JR cold-rolled strip.
Sigma profiles are the premium choice for solar tracker torque-tube supports and fixed-tilt rafters, long-span purlins, racking and shelving uprights, and light steel structures where weight optimization pays. The extra web folds allow thinner material for the same performance, cutting both steel cost and foundation loads. Sizes with nominal weights are in the table above; every variant page renders the exact dimensioned cross-section for your engineering review.
Every size is produced to order: cut lengths 1 to 15 m, minimum run approximately 500 kg per size and coating. Add your sizes to a quote request with quantities and destination — we confirm tooling, lead time, and pricing. Custom indent geometry, hole punching to your drawing, and high-strength or pre-painted strip are available for project volumes.
