Is powder coating enough for outdoor steel?

For sheltered or mildly exposed outdoor use, a pretreated polyester powder coat usually is. For coastal, industrial or long-life exposure, we recommend galvanizing first and powder coating on top (duplex).

Can you coat parts we send you?

No. Powder coating is offered with the material, cutting or fabrication we supply, so parts go through pretreatment and coating straight after production.

Powder coating in any RAL colour for the parts, profiles and fabrications we supply — pretreated, coated and cured in the same order, ready to install.

Send drawings or a part list with material, quantity, RAL code and gloss level, and mark any surfaces that must stay uncoated. We quote the material, fabrication and coating together.

The price covers pretreatment, powder coating, masking where marked and protective packing — per part and per batch.

Powder-coated parts and profiles, ready to install

Powder coating is applied at our partner shops after cutting, bending and welding, so parts leave as finished components rather than raw steel. Typical work includes sheet metal parts and enclosures, frames and railings, square and rectangular hollow sections, and aluminium tubes and profiles cut to length.

Parts are degreased and pretreated — or blast-cleaned for heavier steel — before an electrostatically applied powder is cured in an oven. Polyester powders are used for outdoor exposure and epoxy or hybrid powders for indoor parts; gloss level, texture and colour follow your RAL code. For outdoor or coastal steel, a duplex system of hot-dip galvanizing plus powder coat gives longer protection than either on its own.

Powder coating is quoted together with the material or fabrication we supply, not as a stand-alone service for parts shipped to us. Coated parts are protected for transport and packed by part number, with masking of threads, contact surfaces or earthing points as marked on the drawing.
