The 240x90x1.5mm steel Sigma Plus profile is a cold roll-formed Σ+ section to EN 10162 with a deep stiffened 240 mm web, 90 mm flanges, fixed 25+15 mm double lips and 1.5 mm sheet thickness, weighing a nominal 6.22 kg/m. Produced to order in galvanized DX51D+Z steel, the Sigma+ indent and double lips raise buckling resistance for heavy purlins, columns and long-span structures.
Sigma+ 240x90x1.5 is the weight-optimized choice for heavy purlins, columns and long-span rafters where a standard Sigma or C is not enough. The deep web indent and double lips allow thinner material for the same performance, cutting steel cost and foundation loads on industrial and agricultural buildings.
