40x40x1.5mm S350GD+Z Galvanized Steel Omega Profile
The 40x40x1.5mm steel Omega (hat) profile is cold roll-formed to EN 10162 with a 40 mm height, 40 mm crown and 1.5 mm sheet thickness, weighing a nominal 1.90 kg/m. Produced to order in galvanized S350GD+Z steel, its outward feet provide a flat fixing face on both sides — the standard rail for solar panel mounting, facade furring and sheet-metal substructures. This variant is pre-galvanized structural strip S350GD+Z275 to EN 10346, minimum yield about 350 MPa. The zinc coating is already on the coil, which is why this is the standard grade for outdoor purlins and solar structures.

Applications & Usage
Omega 40x40x1.5 mounts solar panels on trapezoidal and sandwich roofs, levels facade cladding as a furring profile, stiffens large sheet-metal panels, and builds conveyor and machine substructures. Both feet sit flat on the support, spreading load evenly and allowing fast one-sided fixing. S350GD+Z275 is the usual specification for solar mounting, roof and wall purlins, and any outdoor structure that needs a structural yield plus a zinc coating from the mill. At a nominal 1.90 kg/m and cut-to-length production from 1 to 15 m, material usage is optimized with no offcuts on site.
