Hot-rolled IPE I-beam with parallel flanges in structural grade S235JR to EN 10025, dimensions to EN 10365 / EN 10034. Efficient bending sections for floors, roofs, and light–medium frames. Designations IPE 80–IPE 600. Standard stock length 12 m.
18 sizes available
IPE beams are European parallel-flange I-sections to EN 10365 (formerly DIN 1025-5), hot-rolled in structural grade S235JR. The narrow parallel flanges make IPE the most economical section for bending about the strong axis — maximum moment capacity per kilogram of steel.
IPE is specified for floor beams, purlins on heavy roofs, secondary framing, trailer and equipment chassis, and general fabrication. Because flanges are parallel (unlike tapered IPN), bolted connections need no taper washers, simplifying detailing. If lateral-torsional buckling or weak-axis loading governs, consider an HEA/HEB instead. Dimensions and kg/m for each size are in the table above.
Supplied in 12 m standard lengths and quoted per length. Send the designation (e.g. IPE 240), quantity, and delivery country in a quote request; mill certificates to EN 10204 3.1 are available on request.
