ISO 898-1 class 4.8 countersunk socket head screws to DIN 7991 / ISO 10642. 90° countersunk head with internal hex so the fastener sits flush with the plate. Metric coarse, listed M3–M10.
Use on covers, hinges, and panels that must stay flush. Class 4.8 suits light duty; the countersunk head has less material than a DIN 912, so do not treat it as equal in tensile capacity. Machine a matching 90° countersink. For a Phillips drive in the same head form see DIN 965.
