Fabrication/Livestock barn

Livestock barn

Barn and livestock building steel on the same kit model as our hangars — sized from your dimensions, with coatings chosen for ammonia-rich air.

You send the building. We take off the steel.

This is not a catalogue quote. You do not pick HEA, box, or purlin sizes here. You send span, length, height, and loads — or drawings. We calculate the bill of materials and quote fabrication of that kit.

Typical sizes are only a starting grid so you can see area and bays. The price is the steel we take off for your project: frames, purlins, bracing, plates, and bolts, marked for your crew to erect.

Steel livestock barns, fabricated as a kit

Livestock buildings follow the same kit model as our agricultural hangars: you send span, length, eave height and loads, or a sketch of the layout, and we take off the frames, purlins, bracing and bolts.

Air in livestock buildings carries ammonia and moisture, so corrosion protection matters. Cold-formed purlins and girts can be rolled from Magnelis (ZM) coated strip, and frames can be hot-dip galvanized after fabrication. Confirm the coating system with your engineer for the expected exposure.

Open sides, ventilation ridges, feed passages and pen layouts are taken from your drawings. The kit ships piece-marked with erection drawings; the typical hall sizes are only a starting grid.

Questions about this kit

Which coating should a barn have?
For ammonia-rich air, ZM-coated purlins and hot-dip galvanized frames are common choices. The final choice depends on the site and the design life your specification requires.
Can you follow a layout from our farm designer?
Yes. Send the drawings and we take off the steel from them, including openings and pen-related members shown on the plans.
Do you supply the pens and equipment?
No. We fabricate the building steel. Pens, feeding systems and other equipment stay with your equipment supplier.
