The 340x100x3.5mm steel Z profile is a cold roll-formed purlin section to EN 10162 with a 340 mm web, opposed 100 mm flanges with 30 mm edge lips and 3.5 mm sheet thickness, weighing a nominal 16.48 kg/m. Produced to order in uncoated S355JR steel, the Z geometry nests and overlaps at supports, forming structurally continuous roof and wall purlin lines that carry more load with less steel. This variant is uncoated cold-rolled structural strip in grade S355JR (EN 10025), minimum yield about 355 MPa. Choose it when the same section has to carry more load than S235JR. The surface is bare — specify paint or hot-dip galvanizing in the quote for outdoor use.

Applications & Usage
Z 340x100x3.5 carries roof and wall cladding on industrial halls, warehouses, agricultural buildings and solar carports; overlapped and bolted at supports it forms continuous multi-span purlin lines. Cleat and overlap holes are punched in-line to your purlin schedule, and anti-sag accessories are configured per project. S355JR is the higher-strength uncoated grade for load-bearing purlins, columns and frames where S235JR would need a heavier section. At a nominal 16.48 kg/m and cut-to-length production from 1 to 15 m, material usage is optimized with no offcuts on site.
