The 180x82x4mm steel U profile is a cold roll-formed plain channel to EN 10162 with a 180 mm web, 82 mm flanges and 4 mm sheet thickness, weighing a nominal 10.80 kg/m. Produced to order in uncoated S235JR steel, the open unlipped face slides cleanly over panels and boards, making it the standard track, edge and closure channel in light steel framing and general fabrication — supplied cut to your exact length. This variant is uncoated cold-rolled structural strip in grade S235JR (EN 10025), minimum yield about 235 MPa. The surface is bare — specify shop painting or hot-dip galvanizing in the quote when the profile will be used outdoors.

Applications & Usage
U 180x82x4 serves as top and bottom tracks in light steel framing, edge and closure channels on sandwich panels and trapezoidal sheets, sliding-gate and door guides, machine guards, and cable or pipe routing in industrial fit-outs. Roll forming keeps the channel straight and uniform over the full length, so profiles arrive ready to fix. S235JR is the general structural grade for indoor frames, painted purlins, and profiles that will be hot-dip galvanized after roll forming.
