120x60x1.5mm S350GD+Z Galvanized Steel Sigma Profile
The 120x60x1.5mm steel Sigma profile is a cold roll-formed section to EN 10162 with a stiffened, indented 120 mm web, 60 mm flanges with 20 mm edge lips and 1.5 mm sheet thickness, weighing a nominal 3.47 kg/m. Produced to order in galvanized S350GD+Z steel, the Σ geometry moves the shear centre towards the section centroid — higher load capacity and less twist than an equivalent C profile at the same weight. This variant is pre-galvanized structural strip S350GD+Z275 to EN 10346, minimum yield about 350 MPa. The zinc coating is already on the coil, which is why this is the standard grade for outdoor purlins and solar structures.

Sigma 120x60x1.5 is the weight-optimized choice for solar tracker and fixed-tilt rafters, long-span purlins, racking and shelving uprights, and light steel structures where every kilogram of steel and foundation load counts. The indented web raises buckling resistance, allowing thinner material for the same performance. S350GD+Z275 is the usual specification for solar mounting, roof and wall purlins, and any outdoor structure that needs a structural yield plus a zinc coating from the mill.
