ISO 898-1 property class 8.8 hex head bolts, partial thread to DIN 931 / ISO 4014. Quenched and tempered carbon steel (800 MPa nominal) with an unthreaded shank for longer grip lengths in machinery and steelwork.
Specify class 8.8 DIN 931 when the assembly needs an unthreaded shank; for short clamps use DIN 933 full thread in the same class. Use class 8 nuts and hardened washers as the joint design requires.
