ISO 898-1 class 8.8 hex flange bolts to DIN 6921 / EN 1665. A washer flange under the hex head spreads load; some lots are serrated for extra resistance to rotation. Metric coarse, listed M4–M16.
Common in automotive, agricultural machinery, HVAC, and sheet-metal frames where a separate washer would slow assembly. Class 8.8 is the default. The flange is not a DIN 6916 HV washer and these are not structural HV bolts. For a nut with a matching flange see DIN 6923 class 8.
