The 280x90x2.5mm steel C profile is a cold roll-formed lipped channel to EN 10162 with a 280 mm web, 90 mm flanges, 30 mm stiffening edge lips and 2.5 mm sheet thickness, weighing a nominal 10.21 kg/m. Produced to order in galvanized S350GD+Z steel, it is the standard section for solar PV mounting structures, roof purlins and side rails, and light-gauge steel framing — supplied cut to your exact length with no waste on site. This variant is pre-galvanized structural strip S350GD+Z275 to EN 10346, minimum yield about 350 MPa. The zinc coating is already on the coil, which is why this is the standard grade for outdoor purlins and solar structures.

Applications & Usage

C 280x90x2.5 is typically specified for solar PV piles, rails and bracing on fixed-tilt and tracker structures, roof purlins and wall side rails on industrial buildings, mezzanine joists, and light-gauge steel (LGS) wall and floor framing. Mounting holes and slots are punched in-line to your drawing, and the section pairs with standard smart-screw or bolted connections for fast assembly. S350GD+Z275 is the usual specification for solar mounting, roof and wall purlins, and any outdoor structure that needs a structural yield plus a zinc coating from the mill. At a nominal 10.21 kg/m and cut-to-length production from 1 to 15 m, material usage is optimized with no offcuts on site.
