Applications & Selection Guide
Free-machining round bar in AISI 303 (1.4305) to EN 10278. Added sulphur breaks chips short, so 303 turns and drills faster than 304 with better tool life.
It is used for CNC-turned parts, screws, nuts, bushes, valve parts and fittings. The trade-off is lower corrosion resistance and poor weldability compared with 304, so it is not chosen for welded or wet-service parts. Diameters run from Ø4 mm to Ø60 mm.
Stock lengths run up to 6 m depending on size, with cut pieces available on larger sizes. Send size, length, quantity and destination in a quote request; we confirm stock, price and lead time.
