Dimension tables for the washers in our range: flat washers to DIN 125 / ISO 7089, structural washers to DIN 7989 and HV washers to DIN 6916. Washers are named by the bolt they fit, so an M12 washer goes with an M12 bolt. How the washer and nut types differ is explained in the nut and washer guide.
How to read the tables
- d1 — inner diameter, slightly larger than the bolt so it passes freely.
- d2 — outer diameter, which sets the bearing area under the nut or head.
- s — thickness.
- Weight — kg per 1000 pieces, which is the same number as grams per piece, for plain carbon steel. Zinc plating adds very little; stainless steel weighs about 2% more.
DIN 125 / ISO 7089 flat washers
DIN 125 form A and ISO 7089 have the same dimensions: a plain ring without a chamfer, used under nuts and bolt heads of property class up to 8.8. Our carbon steel flat washers run from M3 to M60; A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless flat washers have the same dimensions.

DIN 7989 structural washers
DIN 7989 washers are 8 mm thick and are used with the DIN 7990 structural bolts of steel connections, where a thin washer would bend under the nut. Our structural washers run from M10 to M30.
| Bolt | d1 | d2 | s | kg/1000 pcs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M10 | 11 | 20 | 8 | 14 |
| M12 | 13,5 | 24 | 8 | 19 |

| M27 | 30 | 50 | 8 | 79 |
| M30 | 33 | 56 | 8 | 101 |
DIN 6916 HV washers
DIN 6916 washers are hardened and chamfered on the inside edge. They belong to the preloaded HV set with the DIN 6914 bolt and the DIN 6915 nut, and the chamfer faces the bolt head. Our HV washers run from M12 to M27.
| Bolt | d1 | d2 | s | kg/1000 pcs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M12 | 13 | 24 | 3 | 7 |
| M16 | 17 | 30 | 4 | 15 |
| M20 | 21 | 37 | 4 | 20 |

| M24 | 25 | 44 | 4 | 31 |
| M27 | 28 | 50 | 5 | 50 |
Spring washers
Split spring washers to DIN 127 are listed from M3 to M48. They still appear on many drawings, but a spring washer alone does not stop a preloaded joint from loosening; where vibration matters, a lock nut or a correctly preloaded joint is used instead.
What to send with an order
Give the standard, the bolt size, the material and the finish, for example DIN 125 M16, zinc plated or ISO 7089 M10, A4, with the quantity in pieces. Washers can be added to a bolt, nut or threaded rod request in the same quote request.
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of an M10 washer?
An M10 flat washer to DIN 125 / ISO 7089 has a 10,5 mm hole, a 20 mm outer diameter and a thickness of 2 mm, and weighs about 3,6 g.
Is DIN 125 the same as ISO 7089?
Yes for the dimensions: DIN 125 form A and ISO 7089 describe the same plain washer without a chamfer, so the two are interchangeable.
Which washer goes with a structural bolt?
The 8 mm thick DIN 7989 washer goes with DIN 7990 structural bolts; preloaded DIN 6914 HV bolts use the hardened DIN 6916 washer.
