Steel Water & Gas Pipe ASTM A53

ASTM A53 Grade A pipe is electric-resistance welded carbon-steel pipe for water, gas and air lines at moderate pressure, sprinkler and plumbing systems, and general mechanical piping. Sizes follow the nominal pipe size (NPS) system, so the pipe fits standard threaded and welded fittings and flanges.

Sizes run from NPS ½" (Ø21.3 mm, DN 15) to NPS 12" (Ø323.8 mm, DN 300), with walls from 2.77 mm to 12.70 mm, including Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 where listed. The pipe is hydrostatically tested to the ASTM A53 pressures; each size page shows its test pressure, inch dimensions and weight in kg/m and lb/ft.

Standard length is 6 m; special lengths from 4 m to 12 m are available on request. Ends are plain or bevelled, and the surface can be prepared for hot-dip galvanizing. The minimum order is 10 t per size; if the size is already in production, we can accept orders from 5 t.
