Standard length 6 m, special lengths from 4 m to 12 m on request. Supplied black, with a red-oxide primer, or hot-dip galvanized.

Square hollow sections are cold-formed from hot-rolled strip and electric-resistance welded to EN 10219, in S235JRH, S275J0H and S355J2H. Equal sides carry load about both axes, so this is the usual section for columns, posts, gates, frames and trusses, and the closed shape resists torsion better than an open profile of the same weight.
Sizes run from 20×20 mm to 500×500 mm with walls from 1.5 mm to 18 mm. Not every wall is rolled in every grade: each size page lists the grades available for it, and the thickest walls of some sizes stop at S275. Outside dimensions are held to ±0.5 mm below 50 mm, ±1% from 50 to 100 mm, ±0.8% up to 200 mm and ±0.6% above; walls to ±10% up to 5 mm. The internal weld bead can be removed on most sizes from 50×50 mm.
Standard length is 6 m; special lengths from 4 m to 12 m are available on request. Sections are supplied black, with a red-oxide primer, or hot-dip galvanized. The minimum order is 10 t per size; if the size is already in production, we can accept orders from 5 t. Send size, grade, finish, quantity and destination in a quote request.
