Stainless steel conical unions in AISI 316 — the higher-alloy version of the DIN-style welded union with conical metal-to-metal seat, for demountable joints on welded 316/316L lines.
Specify 316 unions where chlorides, seawater atmosphere, or aggressive process media rule out 304: marine installations, chemical dosing, brine and coastal water treatment. Mixing grades at a demountable joint invites galvanic and crevice issues, so match the union grade to the line. Sizes are listed in the table above.
