Threaded flanges suit galvanized piping (where welding would destroy the coating), low-pressure utility lines, compressed-air systems, and hazardous areas where hot work is restricted. Thread engagement carries the load, so they are limited to smaller diameters and non-cyclic, moderate-pressure service. Sizes and PN classes are listed above.
