Carbon steel 180° butt-weld return bends to EN 10253 / ASME B16.9, reversing flow direction in a single fitting with both ends bevelled for welding. Long-radius geometry keeps the flow path smooth through the full U-turn.
Return bends are the standard building block of heat-exchanger coils, boiler and economiser banks, serpentine heating circuits, and any layout where parallel pipe runs must be connected end-to-end. Using a single 180° return instead of two welded 90s halves the weld count and improves reliability. Available ODs are in the table above.

The listed size is 48.3 mm outside diameter × 2.6 mm wall (DN40, 1½"). In long-radius geometry the bend radius is 1.5 times the nominal size, about 57 mm here, so the two parallel pipe runs sit about 114 mm apart centre to centre.
